Less invasive, monitored method
The Krill used by Alpha-Chitin comes from Antarctica, and its fishing is subject to monitored regulation. The fishing techniques developed by our partner are less invasive and destructive for pelagics than conventional trawling techniques.
The Krill supplied to Alpha-Chitin for chitosan production is prepared and stabilized according to precise and exclusive criteria. The extraction and purification method is adapted to these characteristics. We obtain extremely white chitosan with versatile molecular weights and almost exclusively crystalline finished product.
